CONTRACT PRINTING OUTSOURCING FUNCTIONS

  • Is a section within Supply Chain Management , which is tasked with managing the contracts, which were outsourced or sub-contracted by Government Printing Works to external subcontractors (appointed through a tender process for five years) to assist with duties, which GPW is unable to perform due to time, constraints or capacity.

PRINTING OUTSOURCING WORKFLOW PROCESS

  • This procedure applies to all jobs that are outsourced at the Production Meetings (held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) due to capacity constraints. The scope for outsourced work is inclusive of three types of jobs that may be outsourced:
  • Full Color;
  • RFQ (Request for Quotation);and
  • Security Printing.
